Rede estadual conclui hoje eleição de conselheiros escolares – Alagoas 24 Horas: Líder em Notícias On-line de Alagoas
As eleições que definem os novos conselheiros escolares das unidades de ensino da rede estadual terminam hoje. A exceção fica por conta de algumas unidades de ensino que se encontravam em recesso no período eleitoral, e promoverão a escolha em julho. Hoje, na capital, oito estabelecimentos realizam o pleito. Na escola Fernandes Lima, localizada no Sítio São Jorge, pais, alunos, professores e funcionários podem votar pela manhã, à tarde ou à noite. Já a escola Théo Brandão, que fica no conjunto Santo Eduardo, inicia a votação às 16h.

A Coordenadoria de Gestão Educacional informa que após as eleições haverá uma capacitação voltada para a preparação dos conselheiros recém-eleitos. “Vamos trabalhar qual o papel que eles desempenham na gestão democrática, e com isso estimular a participação consciente. Também queremos formar um grupo de referência com 345 pessoas. Cada unidade de ensino escolherá um representante de seu conselho que será o elo com a sua coordenadoria regional”, explica a coordenadora Marta Palmeira.
As eleições tiveram início na última quarta-feira (15). Durante todo o processo, cerca de 60 mil pessoas da comunidade escolar de 345 unidades de ensino foram às urnas. No total, são eleitos mais de cinco mil conselheiros em todo o Estado – cada conselho conta com dois titulares e dois suplentes de cada segmento (pais, alunos, funcionários e professores).
Participação – Mal tomam posse de seus cargos, os conselheiros já têm algumas missões pela frente: organizar as eleições dos novos diretores, previstas para o período de outubro a novembro deste ano, e envolver-se no processo de descentralização da merenda escolar. “Até setembro, teremos capacitado todas as escolas do Estado para gerenciar os recursos da alimentação escolar”, prevê a gerente do Programa de Valorização e Desenvolvimento da Comunidade Escolar, Laudirege Fernandes Lima.
Os conselhos escolares foram instituídos em 2000 na rede estadual de ensino. Esta já é a terceira eleição realizada para a escolha dos conselheiros. A gestão democrática na rede pública de ensino está prevista na própria Constituição Federal de 1988, mas seu processo de implementação na rede estadual de Alagoas só teve início em 1999.
Dentro dessa proposta, os conselhos são considerados mecanismos essenciais. Eles garantem a participação, o apoio e a fiscalização da gestão escolar, que deixa de ter o diretor como o único responsável pelas decisões da unidade de ensino.
Na rede estadual, a eleição acontece de forma direta (voto secreto ou aberto), e a escolha é feita por segmentos: pais votam em pais (somente um dos pais tem direito a voto), alunos em alunos, professores em professores e funcionários em funcionários. Os conselhos garantem transparência e legitimidade às decisões tomadas no âmbito escolar.
