Renan reune líderes para decidir sobre CPMI do Mensalão – Alagoas 24 Horas: Líder em Notícias On-line de Alagoas
O presidente do Congresso, Renan Calheiros (PMDB-AL), anunciou que conversa hoje, com os líderes dos partidos da Câmara e do Senado para discutir a criação de mais uma comissão parlamentar de inquérito (CPI), desta vez para investigar o chamado "mensalão". De acordo com as denúncias, “mensalão” seria a mesada paga a alguns parlamentares para que votassem a favor de matérias de interesse do governo.
O presidente do Congresso, Renan Calheiros (PMDB-AL), anunciou que conversa hoje, às 10 horas, no gabinete da Presidência do Senado, com os líderes dos partidos da Câmara e do Senado para discutir a criação de mais uma comissão parlamentar de inquérito (CPI), desta vez para investigar o chamado "mensalão". De acordo com as denúncias, “mensalão” seria a mesada paga a alguns parlamentares para que votassem a favor de matérias de interesse do governo. Além da instalação de uma CPI Mista do Mensalão, os parlamentares vão decidir na reunião uma segunda hipótese: a de a CPI dos Correios, em funcionamento na Câmara, também investigar as denúncias feitas pelo ex-presidente do PTB deputado Roberto Jefferson (RJ). Renan afirmou que a decisão será dos líderes das legendas no Senado e na Câmara. "Eles vão decidir o que fazer para garantir a efetiva investigação. O Brasil cobra muito isso de nós. E nós temos que investigar, responsabilizar e, se for o caso, punir, e punir exemplarmente." Renan Calheiros também garantiu que, no caso da instalação da CPI Mista do Mensalão, um provável recesso parlamentar não vai atrapalhar as investigações.
Mobilização da sociedade Vice-líder do PPS na Câmara, o deputado Raul Jungmann (PE) disse que há um movimento corporativo do governo, do PT e da base aliada para abafar a CPI do Mensalão. Jungmann enfatiza que a sociedade deve se mobilizar. "Muitos querem transformar tudo isso em uma pizza. Por isso, precisamos da pressão da sociedade civil organizada para a gente ter uma segunda CPI que investigue esta Casa, porque, se ela não for investigada e não punir quem comprou e quem vendeu, será o fechamento moral, infelizmente, do Congresso." Raul Jungmann afirmou ainda que vai procurar a Conferência Nacional dos Bispos do Brasil (CNBB), a Ordem dos Advogados do Brasil (OAB) e outras entidades para pedir apoio na pressão que poderá garantir as investigações.
